The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maeda tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Vidal works over Maeda's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Rickson Maeda has been cut.
Vidal keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Maeda has taken the fight to the clinch.
Maeda tries to pull guard but Vidal forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Vidal wants to break the clinch but can't.
Maeda tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rickson Maeda. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maeda tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Vidal smiles and moves away.

Maeda closes the distance and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maeda is trying to pull guard but Vidal has him pressed against the cage.
Vidal can't break the clinch.
Maeda tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Maeda jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Vidal walks away with a smile on his face. Maeda gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Maeda looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Vidal drops Maeda with a beautiful combination! Maeda stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Vidal is looking for the KO!

Maeda is rocked!
Maeda tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Vidal manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Oh Maeda is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Maeda is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Vidal just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Maeda has gone limp and this one is over!
