Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Draughn Diego (ranked 1976 p4p, 58 weight class) and Sanderlei Bitetti (ranked 4225 p4p, 109 weight class). Draughn Diego has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Draughn Diego! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sanderlei Bitetti! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bitetti misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bitetti lands a leg kick that knocks Diego off balance momentarily. A looping hook to the body misses from Bitetti. Diego does a little dance to reset his feet. Bitetti with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Diego to score with a decent uppercut. Diego blocks a head kick by Bitetti.
Bitetti misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Diego.
Bitetti pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Diego was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Diego staying out of range there. A slapping leg kick lands for Diego.
Bitetti has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Diego scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Diego tries a head kick but it misses.
Diego lands with a shot to the body. Bitetti tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Diego thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bitetti if he has to take too many more of those.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bitetti throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Diego jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Bitetti getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Bitetti swings for the body but Diego moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Diego. Diego feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bitetti's calf. Bitetti throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitetti throws an overhand right that lands on Diego's shoulder, as Diego tries to avoid the shot. Diego tries a head kick but it misses.
Bitetti throws a right and a left that Diego avoids nicely. Diego takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Diego looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Diego looks to score with a jab to the body but Bitetti is just out of range. Diego throws a sloppy head kick and Bitetti moves out of range easily. Bitetti waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Diego. Bitetti walks into a jab. Diego lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Bitetti lands with a straight right. Diego didn't see that one coming. Sanderlei Bitetti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diego thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bitetti if he has to take too many more of those.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bitetti misses with a telegraphed body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Decent striking displayed by Diego there. Diego lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bitetti circles away quickly and effectively. Diego lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bitetti's sensitive parts.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diego cracks Bitetti with a good jab. Bitetti on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Diego. Diego obviously looking to wear him down.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bitetti.
Bitetti throws out a loose jab but Diego uses good head movement to avoid it. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Diego. Bitetti shrugs it off though. Bitetti takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Bitetti misses the shot to the body. Bitetti misses with a head kick.
Diego is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Diego pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Diego sizes up Bitetti with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Diego lands with a shot to the body. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diego slips under a jab from Bitetti. A little feinted left hand from Diego on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Diego thows a body kick. Bitetti tries to catch it but that hurt him. Bitetti looks winded! Bitetti keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bitetti takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Draughn Diego dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Bitetti takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Bitetti tries to clinch up. Diego feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bitetti's calf. Diego looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Bitetti looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
It looks like Sanderlei Bitetti has been cut. Diego swings for the body but Bitetti moves out of range.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Diego. Diego throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Diego cracks Bitetti with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Bitetti is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Bitetti is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!
Bitetti is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bitetti throws a head kick that misses. Draughn Diego is winning the standup battle so far. Bitetti swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Diego bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bitetti lands with a kick to the temple. Diego shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Diego fakes the leg kick and cracks Bitetti in the body. Diego moves out of range as Bitetti strikes. Bitetti is breathing heavily. Diego scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Bitetti is looking to chop away at Diego's legs. Bitetti throws a shot from downtown. Diego moves away and avoids it. Diego scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bitetti doesn't seem bothered though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diego cracks the inside of Bitetti's front leg. A head kick misses from Diego. Diego connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Bitetti's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Bitetti - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Draughn Diego!
