Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Doctor Strangeee (ranked 22739 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russell Paulman (ranked 2623 p4p, 0 weight class). Paulman has chosen War is my Love as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Doctor Strangeee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Russell Paulman!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paulman moves into the clinch successfully.

Paulman has clasped his hands together around Strangeee's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Strangeee is letting Paulman control him for a moment.

Paulman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Strangeee knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Strangeee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Paulman on the ground.

Paulman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Strangeee, who protects the arm well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Strangeee can't do much from the bottom here.
Paulman is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Strangeee will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Paulman postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Strangeee pushes Paulman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Paulman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
A lull in the action here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Paulman throws an elbow but Strangeee slips to the side and avoids it well.
Paulman takes a little break here. Strangeee wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Let's hope that Paulman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Paulman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Strangeee seems a little lost for a moment, as Paulman dominates the positioning.

Paulman is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Paulman's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Strangeee can't do much from the bottom here.
A lull in the action here as Paulman stalls from top position.
It looks like Paulman might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Paulman drops Strangeee with a big knee straight up the middle! Strangeee is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!


Strangeee is rocked!


It looks like Doctor Strangeee has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Paulman closes the distance and clinches.
Oh Strangeee is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Paulman unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Strangeee! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Paulman is unloading with more strikes now! Strangeee drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Russell Paulman!
During a confident post fight interview, Russell Paulman thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
