Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Techno Viking (ranked 2429 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Birchack (ranked 19533 p4p, 0 weight class). Viking kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Techno Viking. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viking throws a right and a left that Birchack avoids nicely.
Birchack doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Viking seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A right-left combo lands from Viking.
Birchack closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Viking to the mat! Viking manages to get full guard.
Birchack must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Viking manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Viking stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Viking wants it to stay on the feet.
Birchack seems to have recovered his senses.

Birchack tries to score a power double leg takedown but Viking sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Birchack somewhat.

Viking tries to bum rush Birchack with a series of wild strikes but Birchack uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Birchack dives in and grabs Viking's left leg, looking for a takedown. Viking pushes down on Birchack's head and hops out.
Birchack doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Viking lands a nice looking body shot.
Birchack takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Birchack takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Viking thuds a left hand into Birchack's body.
Viking bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Birchack's head.

Viking catches Birchack napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Birchack to the canvas!

Viking is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Viking lands with a big left! Birchack is wobbled badly! Viking comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Birchack to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Techno Viking!
