PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Twborg (ranked 143 p4p, 18 weight class) and Howlin Wolf (ranked 213 p4p, 27 weight class). Twborg kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I'l beat yo azz!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Twborg lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wolf has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wolf and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Twborg seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Twborg takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Wolf looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Twborg is fending him off so far but Wolf persists. Nope, Twborg circles away and we're back to standing.
Twborg tries to counter by clinching up but Wolf breaks away and moves out of range.
Twborg ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Twborg drops his hands momentarily and Wolf takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Wolf is trying hard to land a takedown here. Twborg sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

As Wolf tries to get set, Twborg tries to push him back and clinch up but Wolf manages to avoid the attempt.

Wolf has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

It looks like Howlin Wolf has been cut.

Twborg tries to counter by clinching up but Wolf breaks away and moves out of range.
Twborg is looking to wear down Wolf with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Twborg throws a hook but Wolf blocks it.
Twborg moves forwards but Wolf connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Wolf lands a jab to the nose.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wolf throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Twborg was covering up waiting for the punch and Wolf finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Twborg has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the ropes to get back to his feet. Wolf has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the ropes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Howlin Wolf showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Wolf decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wolf connects with a nice short shot to Twborg's temple.

Wolf is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Twborg goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Wolf!
