Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerrell Fry (ranked 6294 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Hambone (ranked 4988 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jerrell Fry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Barry Hambone!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Fry.
Fry goes for a double leg but Hambone avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hambone continues to drive forward.
Hambone shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hambone was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fry tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Hambone controlling the position well here. Fry rolled but Hambone kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Hambone is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Fry knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Fry for a finish.
Hambone keeps control of the position easily here as Fry tries to buck him off.

Fry tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Fry keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hambone cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
It looks like Jerrell Fry has been cut.
Hambone takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Let's hope that Hambone has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Fry manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Hambone is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Fry has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hambone is working away from the top position though.
Hambone with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Fry moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Fry has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hambone has passed into side control.

Fry gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Hambone is pressing down on Fry's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fry is holding on for now.
Fry is trying to control but can't.
Hambone tries to stand and escape but Fry is controlling the position.
Fry wants to control but Hambone is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Fry tries to roll over but Hambone keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hambone takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Fry wants to control but Hambone is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Fry is trying to stand back up but Hambone is controlling him
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Fry dives in and grabs Hambone's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hambone pushes down on Fry's head and hops out.
Barry Hambone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fry gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fry can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hambone controls the pace.
Hambone keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fry's head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hambone is standing up over Fry. Fry looks to escape but Hambone dives into side control.

That's time! Fry's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hambone drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fry is looking to stand back up but Hambone counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Fry.
Hambone takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Hambone seems to be working for a kimura but Fry defends the submission attempt.
Hambone stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hambone trying to pass the guard but Fry defending well.
Barry Hambone has got the better of the ground game so far.

Fry trying to hold on to Hambone's head to control him but Hambone postures up.
Hambone lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Fry is trying to control but can't.
Hambone drops an elbow to the side of Fry's head.
Fry tries to kick Hambone off in order to stand up. Hambone Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Hambone moves into full mount!
Hambone controlling the pace for now.
Fry working to try and regain half guard.
Fry tries to lock up and control but Hambone gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Hambone landing shots from mount.
Fry is rocked!
Hambone softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Fry is out cold! Hambone jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Barry Hambone!
