Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bina Raga (ranked 4294 p4p, 402 weight class) and Jungle Prince (ranked 2788 p4p, 310 weight class). Prince is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle. On his way into the cage it seems that Bina Raga has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Bina Raga seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bina Raga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jungle Prince!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prince shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Raga makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Prince tries to clinch but Raga moves out of range.
Raga gets tackled into the cage by Prince. Prince maintains the clinch.
Prince escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Raga pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Prince looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Raga dives in and grabs Prince's left leg, looking for a takedown. Prince pushes down on Raga's head and hops out.
Prince has managed to clinch.
Prince escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Raga drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bina Raga. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Prince forces Raga back against the cage and clinches.

Jungle Prince seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Prince rushes Raga and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Prince is trying to pull guard but Raga turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Prince's coach down at 3Band MMA ($800/week) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Prince's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Prince prevents a takedown attempt there.
Prince tries to pull guard but Raga holds him up against the cage and eventually Prince drops back down to his feet.
Prince breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Prince rushes Raga and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

Prince fails with an attempt to clinch.
Prince moves into the clinch successfully.
Prince turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Prince manages to end up in side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Raga sneaks back into half guard.

Raga seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Raga is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Prince has his hands clasped together but Raga extends and breaks Prince's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Raga.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bina Raga!
After winning the bout, Bina Raga thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
