The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hetfield's coach down at Holding Cell was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hetfield's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Tattoo Guy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hetfield sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hetfield tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Tattoo Guy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hetfield was well out of range. Poor timing from Tattoo Guy.

It looked like Tattoo Guy wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Hetfield looks to throw the jab but Tattoo Guy is out of range.
Hetfield throws a front kick aimed at Tattoo Guy's knee but Tattoo Guy avoids it well.

Despite the aggression on Hetfield's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Hetfield seems to have recovered his senses.
Tattoo Guy scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Hetfield shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tattoo Guy's guard.

Tattoo Guy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hetfield can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
