Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between She Mine (ranked 7439 p4p, 0 weight class) and Best French (ranked 24807 p4p, 0 weight class). Best French has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, She Mine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Best French!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Mine is trying hard to land a takedown here. French sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A nice side step and French releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
French looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mine is fending him off so far but French persists. Nope, Mine circles away and we're back to standing.
Horrible takedown attempt by Mine or perhaps it was just good defense by French, which made it look bad.
French is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mine tries to keep at a distance but French has taken the fight into the clinch.

Mine misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Mine will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning French up against the cage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
French misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Mine.

French breaks from the clinch.
French shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mine as he jumps to the side.
Mine is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
French will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
As French looks to move away, Mine throws a big counter combo but French just gets out of the way.
She Mine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Best French.

Mine dives in for a single leg takedown but French sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
French now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Mine closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

French misses with a takedown attempt - Mine sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mine appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

That was a close round but I would say that She Mine will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



French shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mine napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Mine landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
French tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
French tries to throw a body punch but Mine avoids it by throwing French back against the cage.
Mine misses with a hook to the ribs.

Mine is looking for a takedown up against the cage. French gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Come on French - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Mine tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and French avoids it.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


French slaps away a takedown attempt from Mine, before circling back to the center of the mat.

French drives through with a takedown into Mine's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Mine dives in and grabs French's left leg, looking for a takedown. French pushes down on Mine's head and hops out.

French stays in close to Mine's body and controls the position.
Mine has his hands on French's head, controlling the position.
French won't allow Mine to get back to his feet.

French is stalling in the full guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
French wants to control from the top but Mine keeps moving.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Mine gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and French counters with a right hand to the body.

French shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. French showed some decent athleticism there.

Mine has one foot on French's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
She Mine showed his dominance in that final round.
I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
