Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marciano Cobb (ranked 682 p4p, 93 weight class) and Gennady Mikhasevich (ranked 670 p4p, 91 weight class). Cobb kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Miley Cyrus - Party In The U.S.A.. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Cobb checks a leg kick.
Cobb definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Mikhasevich swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cobb counters with a straight right hand.
Mikhasevich rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cobb moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mikhasevich misses with a leg kick
and Cobb counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Mikhasevich rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cobb counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Cobb ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Mikhasevich goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Mikhasevich jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cobb walks away with a smile on his face. Mikhasevich gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Marciano Cobb has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gennady Mikhasevich.
Mikhasevich connects with a leg kick. Cobb looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looked like Cobb wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and Cobb counters with a crisp one two that drops Mikhasevich! Cobb thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Mikhasevich to his feet! Mikhasevich is in big trouble!

Cobb circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Mikhasevich to the canvas! Mikhasevich doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Cobb keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marciano Cobb!
After the fight, Marciano Cobb was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
