Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Luft (ranked 5026 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Black (ranked 3219 p4p, 0 weight class). Black has chosen Thug for Life as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black drives through with a takedown into Luft's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Black pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Luft is keeping the position for now.
Black trying to control the position from guard on top but Luft is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Black stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Luft swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Luft is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Luft is refusing to be controlled, as Black sits in half guard.
Black wants to pass the guard but Luft is defending well.
Black uses his free foot to push down on Luft's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Luft.
Black fails to advance to Luft's back.

Black wants to control the pace but Luft is squirming around nicely.
Luft keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Luft tries to lock up and control but Black gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Black swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Luft is now in Black's guard. A big mistake from Black there, giving up the dominant position!
Luft wants to stand but Black is controlling his posture from full guard.
Black bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Luft's guard.

Black is trying to control the action in half guard but Luft is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Black tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Black is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Luft is just riding it out for now. Black eventually gives up the hold.

Black is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Luft sees it coming and defends easily.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Black shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Black was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Black tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Black has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Black is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Luft wants to control but Black postures up.
Black laying and praying for a moment but Luft takes advantage and regains half guard.
Luft is trying to maintain the position but Black is very close to passing his half guard.
Black is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Luft reverses the position - he's now on top in Black's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Black is on top in guard.
Luft trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Black is working for a submission of some sort.
Black is pressing down on Luft's thigh, looking to free his foot. Luft is holding on for now.

Black seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Luft does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jon Black showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Luft's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Black fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Luft sprawls well initially but Black persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Black stops Luft from getting back to his feet.
Black looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Black is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Luft has managed to free his arm - good work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Black frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Black jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Luft is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Luft and Black has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Black is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Luft is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Luft gets caught napping as Black dives in and scores a takedown. Luft manages to retain guard.
Black has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Black would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Patrick Luft has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jon Black is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Luft will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Jon Black comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Black has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
