Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Bruce! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Raanta Runtiringeni! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Runtiringeni lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bruce circles away quickly and effectively. Bruce lands with a slapping head kick. Runtiringeni rushes Bruce and presses him up against the cage. Runtiringeni misses with a hook from the clinch. Bruce is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Runtiringeni is defending well for now. Bruce landing knees to the body.
Bruce lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Bruce tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Runtiringeni avoids it. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Bruce trying to land knees to the body.
Runtiringeni misses with a punch on the inside.
Bruce manages to break the clinch.
Runtiringeni tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Runtiringeni drives through with a takedown into Bruce's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Bruce scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bruce tries to bum rush Runtiringeni with a series of wild strikes but Runtiringeni uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Bruce misses with a few strikes there.
Good leg kick by Bruce there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bruce looks to score with a jab to the body but Runtiringeni is just out of range. Runtiringeni is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Daniel Bruce seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bruce throws a head kick but Runtiringeni moves out of range.
Runtiringeni checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Runtiringeni has Bruce up against the cage in a clinch.

Runtiringeni drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bruce gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bruce breaks the clinch.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Runtiringeni tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bruce smiles and moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bruce misses with a leg kick and Runtiringeni counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Runtiringeni has hold of Bruce's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Bruce seems comfortable defending it but Runtiringeni has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Bruce is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Bruce is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Runtiringeni couldn't care less - he's delighted!
