Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bobbie Hamilton (ranked 3797 p4p, 188 weight class) and Darren Dixon (ranked 6983 p4p, 253 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bobbie Hamilton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Darren Dixon!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamilton takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Dixon ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Dixon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hamilton takes one on the button.
Hamilton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Darren Dixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hamilton ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hamilton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hamilton throws a right and a left that Dixon avoids nicely.
Dixon misses with a series of wild punches.
Dixon comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A decent looking cross lands there for Dixon.

Dixon has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dixon presses Hamilton against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hamilton jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dixon walks away with a smile on his face. Hamilton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Dixon cracks Hamilton with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Hamilton looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dixon!
Dixon tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hamilton trying to control the position but Dixon is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Dixon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hamilton wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Dixon regains half guard.
Hamilton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dixon keeps working.
Dixon gets back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dixon looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Hamilton tries to free his leg and advance position but Dixon is retaining full guard.
Dixon managing to control the position.
Hamilton throwing strikes from guard but Dixon blocks nicely.
Dixon wants to sweep here but Hamilton controlling him for the moment.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Hamilton throws a leg kick
and Dixon counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hamilton has his takedown stuffed
and Dixon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobbie Hamilton. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dixon shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Dixon is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dixon wants to pass to mount but Hamilton is defending the position.
Dixon keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
It looks like Dixon might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Hamilton wants to control but Dixon is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dixon in particular looking to stall.
Let's hope that Dixon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Dixon is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Hamilton looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Dixon has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Hamilton's body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Darren Dixon dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Dixon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hamilton or perhaps it was just good defense by Dixon, which made it look bad.
Dixon scores with a hook to the body. Hamilton takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Hamilton fails with a takedown attempt.
Dixon scores with a shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hamilton tries to keep at a distance but Dixon has taken the fight into the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Dixon.
Dixon lands a shoulder strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dixon lands with a right to the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dixon lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Dixon presses Hamilton against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Dixon scores with a nice hook to the head.

Hamilton is rocked!
Dixon creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Hamilton's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Hamilton drops to his knees and Dixon pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Darren Dixon!
