Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Davey Kavanaugh (ranked 3456 p4p, 383 weight class) and Henry Cringeudo (ranked 3791 p4p, 404 weight class). Cringeudo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Des Rocs- Let me live/ Let me Die kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Henry Cringeudo struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Henry Cringeudo looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Davey Kavanaugh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry Cringeudo! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cringeudo clinches up with Kavanaugh and pushes him back against the cage. Cringeudo has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kavanaugh clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Kavanaugh preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Cringeudo. Cringeudo is trying to stick to Kavanaugh's back but Kavanaugh is turning into Cringeudo. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Cringeudo's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh is stalling in the full guard. Kavanaugh forces his way into half guard. Kavanaugh is taking a breather. Cringeudo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Kavanaugh's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kavanaugh prevents Cringeudo from improving his position. Cringeudo looks winded! Cringeudo won't allow Kavanaugh to pass to mount. Cringeudo missing with punches from the bottom.
Kavanaugh controlling the pace. Cringeudo looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kavanaugh seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Further stalling from Kavanaugh. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cringeudo can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kavanaugh uses his free foot to push down on Cringeudo's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cringeudo. Kavanaugh controlling the position easily from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kavanaugh is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Kavanaugh extends the arm and Cringeudo is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Davey Kavanaugh! Henry Cringeudo was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll come back better than ever, this is just a learning experience boys. That title is still mine.'.
