Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Rosario (ranked 22958 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey Maddox (ranked 2999 p4p, 274 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rosario gets tackled into the cage by Maddox. Maddox maintains the clinch.
Maddox wants to get back to striking at distance but Rosario won't allow it.
Maddox prevents Rosario from breaking the clinch.
Rosario has had enough of the clinch but Maddox keeps him there for the moment.
Maddox is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Maddox throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Rosario blocks it with crossed arms.
Maddox tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rosario smiles and moves away.
Maddox rushes Rosario and presses him up against the cage.
Maddox breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maddox feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Rosario sprawling to the canvas! Rosario rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Maddox finish him?!
It looks like Rob Rosario has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maddox changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rosario tries to avoid it but Maddox manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rosario to the ground. Rosario escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rosario appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Maddox throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rosario half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Maddox clinches.
Rosario wants to get back to striking at distance but Maddox won't allow it.
Rosario pulls guard effortlessly.
Maddox avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Maddox passes Rosario's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Maddox decides to return to a standing position.
Maddox rushes Rosario and presses him up against the cage.
Maddox content to slow the pace in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Maddox breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Maddox clinches.
Rosario wants to break the clinch but can't.

Rob Rosario has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikey Maddox.
Maddox goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rosario prevents it.
Rosario is looking to break free of the clinch but Maddox has double underhooks.
Rosario pulls guard.
Rosario is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Maddox content to stall in guard here.
Rosario will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Maddox working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rosario's head.

Rosario will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Rosario had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Maddox defends it easily.
Maddox drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rosario dives on top into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Maddox is on top in guard.

Maddox really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rosario. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rosario looking for subs off his back but Maddox has passed one foot through into half guard.

Maddox's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mikey Maddox dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Rob Rosario's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Maddox cracks Rosario's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Rosario slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Maddox can do further damage! This one is done, son!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mikey Maddox!
