Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wamberto Boaz (ranked 195 p4p, 14 weight class) and Xing Pugberg (ranked 246 p4p, 17 weight class). Boaz comes to the cage accompanied by Preciso me encontrar. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Wamberto Boaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Xing Pugberg!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pugberg shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Boaz sprawls well. Boaz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pugberg gets slowly back to his feet.

Boaz has hold of Pugberg's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pugberg manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Pugberg wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Boaz sizes up Pugberg with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Boaz is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Pugberg shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boaz's guard.

My spies in Crapollas Gym inform me that Pugberg has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Pugberg looks to land a left hand but Boaz moved out of range nicely.
Pugberg might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
