Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Ivanov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Desmond Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ivanov tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lewis is in Ivanov's guard.
Ivanov uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Ivanov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ivanov lands in his opponent's guard.
Ivanov works over Lewis with some ground and pound from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ivanov is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Lewis trying to keep a closed guard but Ivanov is proving a slippery customer.

Lewis isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ivanov stacks Lewis on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ivanov!
Lewis takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Lewis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ivanov scores with punches from side control.
You can see the frustration on Lewis's face as Ivanov controls the position.

Ivanov connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lewis some visible discomfort.

Ivanov scores with a couple of short elbows.
Ivanov scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Lewis is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Ivanov can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
