Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Holmes (ranked 24696 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fart Minarsich (ranked 5606 p4p, 0 weight class). Fart Minarsich has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Christopher Holmes's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Christopher Holmes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Minarsich misses.

Minarsich moves into the clinch.
Minarsich wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Holmes throws a head punch that misses.
Holmes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Minarsich walks away with a smile on his face. Holmes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Minarsich clinches.
Minarsich wants to break free but Holmes has control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holmes tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Minarsich just stands there and leans against the cage.
Holmes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Minarsich walks away with a smile on his face. Holmes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christopher Holmes. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Minarsich decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Holmes tries to get to full guard but Minarsich has control of the leg.
Holmes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Minarsich working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Minarsich should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Holmes wants to get back to his feet but Minarsich drags him back down.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Holmes is looking to regain half guard here but Minarsich keeps moving and retains side control.
Holmes avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Minarsich.

Holmes is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Holmes gets caught napping as Minarsich dives in and scores a takedown. Holmes manages to retain guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
It looks like Minarsich might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Holmes has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Minarsich uses from the top position.

Holmes has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Minarsich doesn't manage to clinch there - Holmes circles away.

A looping hook to the body misses from Minarsich. Holmes does a little dance to reset his feet.
Holmes throws a counter high kick but Minarsich was just alert enough to avoid it.

Minarsich throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Holmes tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Minarsich is in Holmes's guard.

Minarsich might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Holmes haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Holmes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Fart Minarsich is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Minarsich throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Christopher Holmes.
I think Minarsich has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
