Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heavy Rain (ranked 64 p4p, 8 weight class) and Alistair Spong (ranked 98 p4p, 15 weight class). Rain's entrance music is For Heavy Metal we will die!. A fine choice. Spong has chosen 2Pac - I'm A Soldier (Echale Mojo Remix) as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rain swats away the attempt to clinch by Spong.

Rain connects with a good right hand that stumbles Spong. Spong circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rain.

Rain throws a counter high kick but Spong was just alert enough to avoid it.
Rain avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Spong tries to clinch but Rain is having none of it.
Spong throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rain stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Spong takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Rain goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Spong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
It appears Rain was looking to counter with a kick there.

Rain is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Spong wants to clinch up but Rain keeps it at a distance.

Rain throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Spong.

Rain takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Spong moves into the clinch successfully.
Rain really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Rain looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Spong is defending well. Rain quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Spong has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Rain celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Heavy Rain decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
Alistair Spong was interviewed post fight and said 'Damn, got caught napping.'.
