The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Salgado is looking for a kimura but Carlos is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Salgado to get the leverage.
Carlos is staying active underneath Salgado, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Carlos is positioning himself well to prevent Salgado advancing to mount.
Salgado could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Salgado is looking to clinch but Carlos is avoiding it.

Oh but Carlos is tightening it up a little... Salgado has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Salgado reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Salgado taps out! nice BJJ there by Carlos!
