Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stephan Tyson (ranked 24516 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Spirit (ranked 4843 p4p, 445 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stephan Tyson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jacob Spirit! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spirit throws a hook to the side of Tyson's head but Tyson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Tyson throws a big counter combination but Spirit scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Spirit shoots for a double leg takedown but Tyson sprawls well. He's pushed Spirit's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Tyson throws a big counter combination but Spirit scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Jacob Spirit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Spirit pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spirit shoots for a takedown but Tyson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. As Spirit looks to move away, Tyson throws a big counter combo but Spirit just gets out of the way. A head kick misses from Spirit. Spirit motions for Tyson to come forward. Spirit throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Spirit has closed the distance and engaged Tyson in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tyson can't break the clinch.
Tyson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Spirit smiles and moves away.
Spirit shoots for a takedown but Tyson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Stephan Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacob Spirit. Spirit looks for a takedown but Tyson sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spirit pushes Tyson up against the cage in a clinch. Spirit pulls guard successfully.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spirit tries to land a sweep but no joy. Spirit is pulling down on Tyson's head. It's preventing any offense from Tyson, at least for the moment. Spirit has an active guard here but Tyson has managed to pass into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Spirit trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Tyson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Spirit has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Spirit trying to control the hands but Tyson breaks the grip. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Spirit fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Tyson throws a counter high kick but Spirit was just alert enough to avoid it. Spirit tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tyson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Spirit somewhat. Tyson thinks about countering with a head kick. Spirit throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Tyson closes the distance and pushes Spirit back into the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spirit works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Tyson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tyson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Spirit is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Spirit tries for a takedown but Tyson manages to get underhooks.

Spirit is pulling down on Tyson's head. It's preventing any offense from Tyson, at least for the moment. Spirit bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tyson's guard. Spirit seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Tyson trying to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spirit looking to pass the guard. Spirit slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Spirit stands up from Tyson's guard - Spirit perhaps looking for a knockout. Spirit clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyson is looking to take this one to the mat. Tyson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Spirit walks away with a smile on his face. Tyson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Spirit throws a chopping leg kick but Tyson manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Spirit shoots in and gets a takedown into Tyson's guard. Jacob Spirit has got the better of the ground game so far. Spirit postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Tyson keeping moving, preventing Spirit from controlling successfully. Spirit content to stall in guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spirit tries to free his leg and advance position but Tyson is retaining full guard. Tyson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Spirit is one step ahead there. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Spirit trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Spirit looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jacob Spirit showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Spirit scores with a hook to the body. Tyson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Spirit closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tyson circles away. Spirit tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Spirit rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tyson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tyson is looking for a counter combo. Spirit has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Tyson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Spirit with a lazy takedown attempt and Tyson counters into the clinch. Nicely done. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tyson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Tyson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Spirit as he avoids it easily. Spirit looks to land a combination but Tyson avoids it well. As Spirit looks to move away, Tyson throws a big counter combo but Spirit just gets out of the way. Stephan Tyson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Spirit fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Spirit takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Spirit clinches. Spirit stops a takedown attempt from Tyson.

Tyson has Spirit pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Spirit manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Spirit gets underhooks to prevent Tyson's takedown attempt.
Spirit manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Spirit working for a triangle but Tyson defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Spirit manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Tyson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Tyson is working for takedown but Spirit is calmly controlling the position for now. Tyson tries for a takedown but Spirit manages to get underhooks.
Spirit is pushing Tyson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Tyson wants a takedown.
Spirit lands with a left to the head. Spirit is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spirit wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tyson has him pressed against the cage. Spirit tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Tyson avoids it. Tyson goes for a takedown attempt but Spirit pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Spirit gets in close and instigates a clinch. Spirit manages to pull guard.
Spirit is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tyson is aware though and is defending well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Spirit pulls Tyson in to control the position. Spirit is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Tyson punching from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Jacob Spirit comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Spirit has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
