Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karate Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mat McWhorter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kid comes to the cage accompanied by Go to sleep. McWhorter has chosen Young Buck - Pullin Me Back as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Karate Kid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mat McWhorter!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kid keeps the fight on the outside.
Kid lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Mat McWhorter has been cut.
Kid closes the distance and clinches.
Kid scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Kid tightens his grip and picks McWhorter up, before dumping him to the ground. McWhorter manages to land in guard.
McWhorter controls Kid momentarily but Kid frees himself.
Kid works a leg free and moves into half guard.
McWhorter avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kid.
Kid not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Kid drops an elbow to the side of McWhorter's head.
Kid has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kid missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
McWhorter punching from the bottom.
Kid is looking to advance position but McWhorter won't allow it.
Kid thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McWhorter's head.

McWhorter is trying to maintain the position but Kid is very close to passing his half guard.

Kid is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McWhorter sees it coming and defends easily.
Kid is nestled in close to McWhorter, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
McWhorter looks gassed!

Kid looks up at the clock and then as McWhorter takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kid smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Kid tries to move into full mount but can't pass McWhorter's legs.
Kid works to advance to full mount. McWhorter defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kid lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kid postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. McWhorter looks a forlorn figure.

The cut above Mat McWhorter's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
McWhorter is in all sorts of trouble here.
McWhorter seems to have recovered his senses.

Mat McWhorter's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mat McWhorter's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
