Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Junior Vilson (ranked 147 p4p, 20 weight class) and Sambulo Yeboah (ranked 222 p4p, 26 weight class). Vilson comes to the cage accompanied by Haiti Voodoo Music. Yeboah has chosen Lionel Richie - All Night Long as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Donk. Vilson catches Yeboah right on the button with a cross.

and Yeboah takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Yeboah has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Vilson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Yeboah shoots in looking for a takedown. Vilson tries to sprawl out of it but Yeboah keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vilson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
It looked like Vilson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Sambulo Yeboah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Junior Vilson will probably get the nod.

Yeboah remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
