Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Deshawn Perrez!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perrez scores with a takedown into Davies's guard.
Davies is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Perrez keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Davies's head.

Perrez is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Perrez prevents Davies from getting back to his feet.
Perrez tries to free his leg and advance position but Davies is retaining full guard.
Davies wants to stand but Perrez is controlling the position.
Perrez lands a couple of elbows.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Davies manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Perrez keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Davies's efforts to push away.
Davies gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Perrez.
Perrez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Perrez is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Davies wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Perrez has Davies pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Davies manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Mike Davies has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deshawn Perrez.
Perrez tries to score a body lock takedown but Davies shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Perrez goes for a takedown in the clinch but Davies prevents it.

Davies is trying to break the clinch but Perrez has him pressed against the cage.
Perrez has Davies pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Davies manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Perrez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Davies gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Perrez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Davies pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Davies gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Perrez.
Perrez looks winded!
Perrez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Davies is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Davies wants to break the clinch but can't.
Perrez keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Davies's efforts to push away.
Perrez tries for a takedown but Davies manages to get underhooks.
Davies wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Davies is pressed up against the cage. Perrez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Davies down to the mat. Davies avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Davies scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Davies throws a series of punches but Perrez avoids them all with ease.
Davies shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Perrez eats them both and turns towards Davies to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Davies throws a right and a left that both miss.
Davies misses with a wild combination.
Perrez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Davies sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Perrez somewhat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Perrez is defended easily by Davies.
Davies connects with a nice looking jab.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Perrez.
Perrez showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Davies.
Perrez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Davies but Davies pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Perrez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Davies pinned against the cage. Davies gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Davies throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Perrez colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Davies as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Perrez is left battered and dazed whilst Davies and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Davies!
