PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sambulo Yeboah (ranked 374 p4p, 46 weight class) and Raphaele Heisenberg (ranked 310 p4p, 38 weight class). Yeboah kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lionel Richie - All Night Long. Heisenberg is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by For Heavy Metal we will die!. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heisenberg connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Heisenberg has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Heisenberg has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Heisenberg there as he acknowledges the shot.
Heisenberg ducks under a wild hook from Yeboah.
Heisenberg lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Yeboah.
Heisenberg takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Yeboah tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Yeboah steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Heisenberg.
Heisenberg loads up on a big right hand but Yeboah slips the punch.
Heisenberg throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Yeboah sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Heisenberg looks to throw the jab but Yeboah is out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
That kick from Yeboah tenderised Heisenberg's leg. Heisenberg is trying to keep his angry face on.
Yeboah connects with a nice looking jab.
Raphaele Heisenberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Heisenberg swings for the body but Yeboah moves out of range.

Yeboah swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Yeboah takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Yeboah throws a body shot but no joy.
Heisenberg looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Heisenberg takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Yeboah scores with a sloppy right hand. Heisenberg should have avoided that one.

Yeboah quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Yeboah fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Heisenberg has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Heisenberg lands a nice shot to the body.
Yeboah uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Heisenberg.

Yeboah changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Heisenberg looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Yeboah will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yeboah passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Heisenberg!

Yeboah has control of Heisenberg's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Heisenberg regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Yeboah avoids the attempt from Heisenberg to control.

Yeboah fails to move to back control.
Heisenberg is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Heisenberg is wriggling around trying to escape.
Yeboah wants to take Heisenberg's back here but Heisenberg is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Heisenberg bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Yeboah pulls Heisenberg in close to prevent any damage.
Yeboah utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Yeboah looking for subs off his back but Heisenberg has passed one foot through into half guard.
Yeboah wants to get back to full guard.
Heisenberg seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Yeboah does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yeboah has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Heisenberg is working away from the top position though.
Yeboah is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Heisenberg's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Heisenberg's back!

Yeboah is looking for the choke from the back position but Heisenberg is controlling his hands well.

Yeboah is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Heisenberg with him. Heisenberg is trying to defend but Yeboah has an arm under the chin now! Heisenberg grimaces and is forced to tap out!
