The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vic throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rodrigues's waist but Rodrigues gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vic off to one side.
Caio Rodrigues seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodrigues connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Rodrigues knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vic on the ground.
Rodrigues wants to control but Vic postures up.
Vic is working to tighten is grip on Rodrigues's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rodrigues has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Vic is really squeezing tight and eventually Rodrigues passes out! Vic breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
