Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luke Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexey Andreev!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jackson enables Andreev to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jackson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Andreev sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jackson's guard.
Andreev is trying to control the action in half guard but Jackson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Andreev working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Jackson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Andreev connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jackson scrambles back to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Luke Jackson.
Well Andreev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
