The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shorton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Savage was well out of range. Poor timing from Shorton.
Savage feints the counter takedown.
Shorton misses with a left hand
and Savage counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Savage jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Savage waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Shorton.
Savage throws a body shot but no joy.

Savage with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Shorton's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Savage connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Shorton scrambles back to his feet.
Savage looks to score with a jab to the body but Shorton is just out of range.

Bill Shorton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shorton tries to clinch there but Savage circles away.
Savage connects with a crisp jab.

Savage circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Shorton tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Savage wins by KO!
