PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Heath Black (ranked 7287 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Bear (ranked 24846 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bear shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Black is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bear's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bear's back!
Bear is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Black.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Black has the hooks in. Bear is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Heath Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rocky Bear.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Black is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bear can't fight it off and eventually Black manages to take the fight to the floor. Bear looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Black works on Bear's body with a couple of short punches.

Bear throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Black's waist but Black gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bear off to one side.
