1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eric Cantona! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cantona fails with the takedown. Cantona looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Lynch has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lynch ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lynch no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lynch pulls Cantona in close to prevent any damage. Lynch manages to escape and get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lynch has Cantona up against the cage in a clinch.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Lynch decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Lynch seems to be looking for submissions.

Cantona is looking for a sweep. Lynch is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ground and pound from Lynch. Lynch is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cantona sees it coming and defends easily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lynch looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Cantona is aware though and is defending well. Lynch is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Lynch wants to hit a switch here but Cantona passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Lynch there! Lynch wants to control but Cantona is having none of it. Lynch is desperately trying to improve his position but Cantona has a good base and remains in mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynch is trying to reverse the position but instead Cantona has taken his back - oops! Lynch is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Cantona has got his arm under Lynch's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Lynch has spun round into Cantona's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
Cantona looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Lynch has picked Cantona up and slammed him! Cantona can't keep hold of the triangle and Lynch manages to pass to side control! Lynch working the head and body with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynch working the ground and pound from side control. Lynch tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Lynch lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Cantona down.
Cantona tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lynch is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cantona to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cantona shrugs it off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Trent Lynch will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Cantona tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lynch sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cantona somewhat. Lynch throws a counter high kick but Cantona was just alert enough to avoid it. Cantona gets tackled into the cage by Lynch. Lynch maintains the clinch.

Lynch tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cantona smiles and moves away.

Cantona is trying to drag Lynch to the mat but Lynch just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Lynch wants to break the clinch but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynch drags the fight down to the ground.
Cantona lands a couple of decent looking shots. Lynch keeping moving, preventing Cantona from controlling successfully. Cantona wants to pass the guard but Lynch is keeping the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cantona is still trying to improve position.
And that's the end of the fight! Trent Lynch showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lynch, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
