Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Reilly (ranked 1821 p4p, 232 weight class) and Buster McDiggle (ranked 1908 p4p, 242 weight class). Reilly comes to the ring accompanied by The Whispers - Rock Steady. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Buster McDiggle!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
McDiggle shoots in but Reilly avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Reilly throws a counter high kick but McDiggle was just alert enough to avoid it.

McDiggle closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
We've been informed that McDiggle has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
McDiggle struggles to land a body shot inside as Reilly controls his hands.
Reilly tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McDiggle's elbow.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Reilly creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
McDiggle blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Reilly lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of McDiggle backwards.

McDiggle jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Reilly walks away with a smile on his face. McDiggle gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

enabling Reilly to counter with a crisp jab.

McDiggle's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Reilly connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McDiggle scrambles back to his feet.

McDiggle is looking to clinch but Reilly is avoiding it.
As McDiggle backs away, Reilly returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Reilly misses with a looping left.
Reilly digs a good body shot into McDiggle's ribs.

McDiggle drives through with a takedown into Reilly's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Reilly is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
McDiggle wants to pass the guard but Reilly is keeping the position.

McDiggle throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Reilly counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Reilly throws a chopping leg kick but McDiggle manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
McDiggle misses with a kick to the body
and Reilly counters with a stiff right hand.
A telegraphed right hand from Reilly misses the target.
McDiggle throws a fast counter high kick but Reilly manages to duck under it in time.

Reilly rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McDiggle moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McDiggle pulls out of a head kick attempt.
It looked like Reilly was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Reilly lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Reilly clinches up with McDiggle and pushes him back against the ropes.

McDiggle drops down looking for an ankle pick but Reilly pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Reilly counters with an outside leg kick.
McDiggle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reilly was well out of range. Poor timing from McDiggle.

Mike Reilly showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Reilly, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
