Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, George Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, General Snus!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snus smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Snus throws a hook but Allen blocks it.
Allen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Allen gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Allen walks into a jab.
Snus misses with a right hand
and Allen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like General Snus has been cut.
Allen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Allen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Snus.
Allen throws a jab but it's blocked by Snus.
Snus scores with the left hand. Allen knows he should have avoided that one.
Nice defenses there by Snus.
A punch lands to the side of Snus 's head but he takes it in his stride.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Snus feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Allens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Snus has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Nice uppercut lands for Allen. That snapped Snus's head back.
Allen slips a straight right by Snus.
Allen looks to land a right hand but Snus moved out of range.
Snus looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Allen lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Snus falls backwards - clearly groggy! Allen dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George Allen!
George Allen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
