Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raphael Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakie Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chan has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Jakie Chan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferreira shoots in but no luck this time.
Chan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Chan avoids the head kick by Ferreira.
Ferreira shoots in but Chan avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ferreira moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Ferreira tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chan swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Ferreira counters with a shoot takedown. Chan fights it but they end up in guard.

Chan is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Ferreira pulls his head out easily.

Ferreira seems to be working for a kimura but Chan defends the submission attempt.
Ferreira decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Chan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Chan counters with an outside leg kick.
Chan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

and Chan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Chan.

Ferreira is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Chan is looking for a sweep. Ferreira is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Ferreira bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chan's guard.
Ferreira wants to control from the top but Chan keeps moving.
Ferreira stands and steps away. Chan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ferreira closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chan circles away.
Chan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Chan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ferreira scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Ferreira has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Chan defend it? Ferreira steps over the head and cranks it - Chan is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ferreira!
