Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joey Simone (ranked 2609 p4p, 285 weight class) and Xun Zemin (ranked 1243 p4p, 153 weight class). Simone comes to the cage accompanied by Shakewell - Leglock. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simone moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Zemin swats away the attempt to clinch by Simone.
A nice side step and Zemin releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Zemin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Simone - the referee stops the clock and Zemin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Simone. Zemin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Simone lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Zemin has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Zemin and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Simone is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

BAM! Zemin delivers a spinning backfist that drops Simone like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

After the fight, Xun Zemin was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
