Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Itt Addams (ranked 1265 p4p, 148 weight class) and Hugues Dupont (ranked 1013 p4p, 126 weight class). Addams comes to the cage accompanied by Family Vales. Hugues Dupont has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Itt Addams's chin.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dupont pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
It looked like Addams wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Dupont fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Addams manages to avoid it.
Dupont throws a hook but Addams avoids it easily.
Addams moves out of range as Dupont strikes.
Dupont defending well as Addams loads up on a big left hand.
A countering left hand to the body from Dupont misses.
Dupont throws a body shot but no joy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dupont is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Addams has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Dupont has his foot on Addams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Addams works his way back into a safe position though.
Addams drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dupont dives on top into guard.
Addams has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Addams is in all sorts of trouble here.
Dupont is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Addams can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Addams tries to reverse the position but Dupont maintains control.
Addams reaches up to try and control the position but Dupont seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Addams rolls and tries to escape and now Dupont has his back!

Addams rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Dupont is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Addams is just riding it out for now. Dupont eventually gives up the hold.

Dupont working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dupont has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Dupont jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Addams manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Addams is looking to regain half guard here but Dupont keeps moving and retains side control.
Addams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dupont on the ground.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Addams is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Addams using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Dupont has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Dupont had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Addams defends it easily.
Dupont lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Addams will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Addams tries to improve his position but Dupont has taken his back! Dupont has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Addams tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Dupont pushes Addams away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Hugues Dupont gave a mention to Sportivité in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
