Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bung Popper (ranked 1165 p4p, 170 weight class) and Kalle Kossu (ranked 2189 p4p, 292 weight class). Kalle Kossu will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bung Popper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kalle Kossu!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kossu throws a jab but it's blocked by Popper.
Kossu moves forwards but Popper connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kossu thuds his right hand into Popper's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kossu bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Popper's head.
Kossu has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kossu scores with a sloppy right hand. Popper should have avoided that one.
Popper keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kossu.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kossu.
Popper paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Popper moves out of range as Kossu strikes.
Kossu staying out of range there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kossu looks to land a left hand but Popper moved out of range nicely.
Kalle Kossu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kossu slips a straight right by Popper.
We've been told by Popper's head coaches at The Philippines Finest that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kossu thows a left - swing and a miss!

Popper takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Popper throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

A little feinted left hand from Popper on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Kossu throws the left hand but Popper avoids the punch easily.
Popper was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Popper walks into a stiff left hand from Kossu.
Kossu pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Popper was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Popper scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Popper lands a right hook to the body.
Popper jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.


Kossu is rocked!
Kossu connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Kossu walks into a stiff left hand from Popper.
Kossu is still on wobbly legs! Can Popper finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Popper takes one on the chin but keeps coming.


Popper is rocked!
Kossu circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Popper to the canvas! Popper doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Kossu keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kalle Kossu!
