Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Zachery Klein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pent closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Klein punching from the bottom.
Pent is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Pent scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Klein wants to control but Pent is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Pent tries to pass to full mount but Klein defends it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Klein is not content to let Pent control the position.
Klein tries to roll over but Pent keeps him under control.

Pent tries to pass the half guard into mount. Klein knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Pent is keen to just control but Klein is a slippery customer.
Klein makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Pent closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Klein quickly recovers to half guard.
Pent wants to free his trapped foot but Klein is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Klein is defending against the submission attempts here by Pent.

Pent wants to stand but Klein has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pent connects with a nice short shot to Klein's temple.
Klein has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Pent is on him like a limpet, forcing Klein back against the cage.

Pent pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Klein lands with a slapping head kick.
Pent changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Klein looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Klein throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Pent looks winded!
Pent closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Klein is trying to break the clinch but Pent is controlling him.
Pent swings wildly with an uppercut but Klein uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pent jumps guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Klein working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Klein postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Klein lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Pent trying to control the position here.
Pent throws his legs up looking for a submission but Klein uses it to pass to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Zachery Klein will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Klein throws a head kick that misses.
Pent pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Klein wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Pent moves into range and clinches up with Klein.
Pent has picked Klein up - he's going for a ride! Pent dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Klein kicks Pent off and gets back to his feet.
Pent jabs at Klein's body.
Pent closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Klein's guard.
Pent is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Klein wants to sweep but no luck.
Klein wriggles free and stands up.
Pent shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Klein pushes Pent off and gets back to his feet.

Klein scores with a nice strike.
Pent gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Pent wants the takedown. Klein is fighting it off but Pent persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Klein's guard against the cage.
Klein has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Pent has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Klein is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Klein breaks the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pent throws a series of punches but Klein moves out of range.
Klein bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pent's head backwards.
Pent gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Klein is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pent can do to turn this around?

Klein has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Klein is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Klein postures up in Pent's guard and throws a big left but Pent blocks it.
Klein cracks Pent with a solid left hand.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zachery Klein dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Pent throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Klein tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pent is in Klein's guard.
Klein wriggles free and stands up.
Pent moves into the clinch.

Klein lands a head kick. Pent smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Bj Pent is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Klein wants to break the clinch but can't.
Pent manages to break the clinch.
Klein avoids the body shot from Pent.
Pent takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Pent closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Klein did well to prevent Pent getting side control.

Pent ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pent no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Klein is stalling in the full guard.
Klein is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pent avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Pent working for a triangle but Klein defends it easily.
Klein is working Pent over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Pent wants to stand but Klein is controlling the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Klein with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Klein is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Klein, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
