Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jorgen Kruth! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, KAKKA PYLLY! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! PYLLY shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kruth but Kruth pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kruth throws a head kick but PYLLY moves out of range.
Kruth rushes PYLLY and presses him up against the cage. Kruth's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kruth wants to clinch. Nice sprawl there from Kruth as PYLLY shoots in. PYLLY should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. PYLLY closes the distance and clinches up with Kruth, looking for a takedown. PYLLY pushes Kruth against the cage but Kruth circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jorgen Kruth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of KAKKA PYLLY. PYLLY shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kruth but Kruth pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nice takedown defense from Kruth. No joy for PYLLY on that attempt. Kruth misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
PYLLY shoots in looking for a takedown. Kruth tries to sprawl out of it but PYLLY keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kruth manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kruth is breathing heavily. Horrible takedown by PYLLY or perhaps it was just good defense by Kruth which made him look bad.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kruth throws a head kick that misses. Kruth gets caught flat footed, as PYLLY shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. PYLLY is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kruth is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kruth has escaped and now he's on top! PYLLY working for a triangle but Kruth defends it easily.
PYLLY has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kruth is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for PYLLY.
That's two minutes gone in the round. I wouldn't like to be where PYLLY is right now. PYLLY wants to control but Kruth postures up. PYLLY manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kruth's best efforts. Kruth knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for PYLLY on the ground. PYLLY is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Kruth is tapping! Great win for PYLLY!
