Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
34 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buster Napoleon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
23 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Smith!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A nice inside leg kick there by Napoleon. That's going to slow Smith down.
Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Napoleon tries to counter with a takedown but Smith is quick to defend against it.
Smith tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
John Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Napoleon finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Smith throws a jab when Napoleon was well out of range.
Napoleon swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Smith throws a looping overhand right but Napoleon ducks down to avoid it.
Smith misses with a hook to the body
and Napoleon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Napoleon drops Smith with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Smith looks back up at him and smiles so Napoleon waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Smith is rocked!
It looks like John Smith has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Napoleon throws a nice outside leg kick.
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Napoleon finish him?
Smith lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Smith swings widly with a right hand
and Napoleon counters with a thumping low kick.
Smith seems to have recovered his senses.
Napoleon cracks Smith with a hook to the temple - Smith is on wobbly legs here! Napoleon swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Smith falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Napoleon wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Buster Napoleon!
Buster Napoleon gave a mention to HELLBENT in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
