Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Blaine Fry (ranked 4837 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Minchew (ranked 6340 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Blaine Fry has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Blaine Fry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, TJ Minchew! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fry forces Minchew back against the cage and clinches. Fry decides to pull guard. Minchew stopping the sweep attempt from Fry. Minchew seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Minchew is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Fry wants to sweep but no luck. Fry controls Minchew momentarily but Minchew frees himself. Minchew trying to control the position from guard on top but Fry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Minchew loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Fry wants to improve his position but instead Minchew has moved into half guard.
Fry could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Fry has a hand on Minchew's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Minchew takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
That's one minute gone in the round. Minchew takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Minchew's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Fry is in all sorts of trouble here.
Minchew sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Minchew cracks Fry with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Minchew landing shots from mount. Minchew is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fry can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like Minchew might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Minchew with a couple of short strikes. Fry tries to hold on but Minchew pushes him away. Minchew sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Fry defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Minchew. Fry prevents any damage by holding on tight. Minchew tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Minchew trying to control but Fry is having none of it. Minchew scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Minchew wants to take Fry's back here but Fry is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Minchew raining down shots from the mount! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fry keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
TJ Minchew dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Minchew closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fry quickly recovers to half guard. Minchew is looking for a kimura but Fry is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Minchew to get the leverage. Minchew has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Minchew wants to control but Fry is keeping him busy. Fry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Minchew with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Minchew moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Fry.
Minchew has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fry being controlled for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fry is trying to improve his position. Minchew is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Minchew is looking to take a break and control but Fry is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. An elbow from Minchew crashes against the mat.
Minchew trying to control the position but Fry is working away. Fry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Minchew on the ground. Minchew tries for a kimura but Fry is defending well. Minchew works to advance to full mount. Fry defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Minchew trying to control but Fry is having none of it. Fry is in all sorts of trouble here.
Fry regains half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fry won't allow Minchew to pass to mount. Fry is not content to let Minchew control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fry is trying to get back to full guard. Fry is refusing to be controlled, as Minchew sits in half guard. Minchew wants to pass the guard but Fry is defending well. Fry is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Minchew trying to control from half guard but Fry is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Minchew might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fry haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fry circles away from the clinch attempt.
Minchew scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Minchew wants to take a breather but Fry is having none of it. Minchew trying to mount his opponent but Fry defends it. Fry is looking to escape. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Minchew is controlling the pace.
Fry is not content to let Minchew control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
TJ Minchew showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Fry tries to close the distance and clinch but Minchew swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Minchew steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Fry. Excellent takedown into side control there by Minchew. Fry bucks up and tries to throw Minchew off but instead Minchew has got his back! Fry is really stuck here.
