Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Daniel (ranked 4584 p4p, 444 weight class) and Freddie Daisy (ranked 3738 p4p, 399 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jacques Daniel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Freddie Daisy! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daniel throws a push kick but Daisy slaps the foot to one side. Daisy looks like he wants to counter punch here. Daniel missing with a left hand there. Daisy was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Daisy misses with a straight right. Daniel scores with a slapping inside leg kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Daniel. That's going to slow Daisy down. Daniel misses with a hook
and Daisy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Jacques Daniel has been cut. A chopping leg kick lands by Daniel. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daisy takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Daniel stalks Daisy and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Daisy's face. Daisy staggers backwards, shaken. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Daniel turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Daniel looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daisy misses with a few strikes there.
Daisy slips a straight right by Daniel. Despite the aggression on Daisy's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Daisy lands a jab to the head.
Daniel throws a lazy right hand but Daisy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. It seemed like Daisy was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Daniel misses with the combination.
Daisy's coach down at Wookies Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Daisy's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Daniel takes a body punch but keeps moving. Daisy scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Daniel doesn't seem bothered though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daniel throws a head kick that misses and Daisy counters with a nice right hand that sends Daniel toppling to the canvas! Daniel scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Daisy finish him?!
Daniel is rocked! Daniel is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Daniel looks to clinch and Daisy counters with a crisp right hand that drops Daniel! Daisy lets Daniel back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Oh Daniel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jacques Daniel's cut is getting worse. Daisy tries to bum rush Daniel with a series of wild strikes but Daniel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Daniel seems to have got his legs back now. Daniel throws out a powerful jab. Jacques Daniel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Daisy showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Daniel.
Daisy lands a big uppercut and Daniel crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Daniel looks OK. Daisy waves Daniel back to his feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniel throws a body shot but no joy. A little jabbing left from Daisy on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. A punch combination from Daisy misses. Daniel is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Daniel takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Daisy is stalking Daniel. Daniel circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Daisy, and it's lights out! Daniel really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Freddie Daisy!
