Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kent Delaney (ranked 6484 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Jobs (ranked 4534 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as John Jobs enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kent Delaney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Jobs!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jobs darts in and clinches Delaney up against the cage.

Delaney breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jobs throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Jobs shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Delaney napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jobs creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Delaney sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Jobs just content to control the position.
Jobs gets to mount! Delaney was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Delaney tries to hold on but Jobs pushes him away.

Jobs gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Jobs lands with a hook. Delaney tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Jobs shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Delaney's guard.
Jobs controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Delaney wants to stand but Jobs is controlling the position.
Jobs's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Jobs throws a big right hand that misses.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Delaney striking off his back but it's not causing Jobs any problems.
Jobs seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Delaney tries to sprawl but Jobs drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Jobs is pressing down on Delaney's thigh, looking to free his foot. Delaney is holding on for now.
Jobs throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Jobs is keen to just control but Delaney is a slippery customer.

Delaney tries to get to full guard but Jobs has control of the leg.
Jobs is pressing down on Delaney's thigh, looking to free his foot. Delaney is holding on for now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jobs throwing shots but Delaney is blocking nicely.
Jobs looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Delaney goes for a takedown attempt but Jobs pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Delaney could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Jobs has clasped his hands together around Delaney's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Delaney tries to improve position but can't.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jobs creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Delaney sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Jobs decides to stand back up. Jobs steps back and let's Delaney get back to his feet.
Jobs lands with a nice body punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Jobs dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Jobs darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Jobs is just content to waste time from the top position. Delaney takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Jobs is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Delaney will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Delaney wants to hit a switch here but Jobs passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Delaney there!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jobs trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Jobs misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Delaney squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Jobs thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jobs is continuing to stall.
Delaney might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jobs goes for an armbar but Delaney turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Delaney.
Delaney engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Jobs wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Delaney would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Jobs is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Delaney has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jobs is proving hard to escape from.

Jobs kicks Delaney off and gets to his feet.

Jobs has managed to clinch.

Jobs is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Delaney can't fight it off and eventually Jobs manages to take the fight to the floor. Delaney looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jobs gets to his feet - Delaney follows without any prompting.

Jobs has Delaney up against the cage in a clinch.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Delaney got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jobs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Delaney has managed to get both his arms back between Jobs's legs - danger averted.
Jobs wants to control the position but Delaney says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Jobs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Delaney throws a big shot that misses.
Jobs uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Delaney.
Jobs tries to counter by closing the distance.
Delaney shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jobs as he avoids it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Delaney breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
John Jobs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jobs shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Delaney manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Jobs seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jobs is stalling here. Delaney is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jobs seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Delaney has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

John Jobs is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

John Jobs comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jobs has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
