Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, David Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 1, fighting out of London, Franky Page!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams blocks a jab.

Williams drives through with a takedown into Page's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Page looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Williams missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Page pulls Williams in to control the position.
Williams is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Williams throws an elbow that misses. Page uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Williams's guard. Nice move by Page!

Williams has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Williams working for a triangle but Page defends it easily.
Page postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Page stands up over Williams, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Page scoring with some ground and pound.
Page stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Page avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Page lands a couple of digs.

Williams has his foot on Page's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Page works his way back into a safe position though.
Page content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Williams had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Page defends it easily.
Page wants to pass the guard but Williams is keeping the position.
Page distracts Williams with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Williams looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Williams working for a triangle but Page defends it easily.
Williams keeping moving, preventing Page from controlling successfully.
Page chips away with some ground and pound.

Page passes Williams's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Page lands strikes from half guard.
Ground and pound from Page.
My spies in JAG Battle Gym inform me that Page has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Page is looking for a kimura but Williams is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Page to get the leverage.
Oh Williams is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Page is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Williams is hurt! He's hurt bad - Page fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Williams from any more punishment! Congratulations to Page! Great finish!
