Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chance Catolinato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Flatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chance Catolinato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Flatt! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Catolinato tries to clinch but Flatt is having none of it. Catolinato looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Catolinato is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Catolinato throws a nice looking combination but Flatt bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Flatt has Catolinato up against the cage in a clinch.
Flatt successfully pulls guard.
Flatt manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Catolinato manages to get himself to full guard.
Catolinato can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Flatt controls the pace. Flatt stands and steps away. Catolinato gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Flatt fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Catolinato, pushing him back against the cage. Flatt lands a takedown into guard.
Flatt content to stall in guard here. Catolinato is looking to stand back up but Flatt counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Catolinato.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flatt takes a little break here. Catolinato wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Flatt's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Catolinato tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Flatt fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Flatt is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Catolinato can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Catolinato tries to hold on but Flatt postures up. Catolinato is working to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Catolinato tries to hold on but Flatt pushes him away. Flatt with shots to the head and body - Catolinato looks very uncomfortable down there. Flatt controlling the pace for now. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. You get the feeling that Catolinato really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Flatt is landing with some decent strikes but Catolinato is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Flatt putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Catolinato is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Catolinato wants to control but Flatt is having none of it. Catolinato is trying desperately to improve position. Flatt can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Catolinato is looking to escape. Catolinato's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jacob Flatt dominated that round. That's time! Catolinato's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Flatt takes the fight into the clinch. Flatt has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Catolinato is trying to keep an underhook but Flatt manages to get the takedown into half guard. Flatt is figuring out what he wants to do next. Flatt decides to return to a standing position. Flatt shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Flatt showed some decent athleticism there. Flatt content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Flatt is looking to advance position but Catolinato won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flatt passes to side control. Flatt in side control, just content to control the action for now. Flatt has an Americana. Catolinato didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Flatt is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Flatt hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
