Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nuckin Futz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hayato Gokudera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nuckin Futz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hayato Gokudera!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gokudera swats away the attempt to clinch by Futz.
A bone on bone clash there as Gokudera blocks the leg kick.
Nuckin Futz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Futz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gokudera.
Futz fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gokudera looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Futz doesn't manage to clinch there - Gokudera circles away.
Futz has Gokudera up against the cage in a clinch.
Futz swings wildly with an uppercut but Gokudera uses good head movement to avoid it.
Futz fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Futz struggles to land a body shot inside as Gokudera controls his hands.
Futz lands a shoulder strike.
Futz's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Futz.
A knee to the head by Futz.
It looks like Hayato Gokudera has been cut.
Futz working aggressively here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gokudera goes for a takedown attempt but Futz pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Futz keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gokudera.
Futz stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Futz throws a jab but it's blocked by Gokudera.
Futz throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gokudera on the side of the head.
Futz wants to clinch.
Futz scores with a body shot.
A big left from Gokudera misses.
Futz lands a big head kick that sends Gokudera to the canvas! Futz follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nuckin Futz!
