Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Zachery Klein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brian Nevarro!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klein lands with a kick to the temple. Nevarro shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Nevarro moves into the clinch.
Nevarro successfully pulls guard.
Nevarro looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Nevarro is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Nevarro wants to hit a switch here but Klein passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Nevarro there!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nevarro is trying desperately to improve position.

Nevarro might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Klein haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Nevarro closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Klein has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nevarro is working away from the top position though.

Nevarro forces Klein back against the cage and clinches.
Nevarro pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nevarro swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Brian Nevarro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nevarro moves into the clinch successfully.
Nevarro misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Klein.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nevarro wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Klein tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Nevarro manages to circle out of the way.

Nevarro has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Klein is trying to keep an underhook but Nevarro manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Nevarro decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Nevarro trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Nevarro tries to lock up and control but Klein gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Zachery Klein overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Nevarro gets back to half guard.

Klein looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Nevarro is trying to control but can't.
Klein wants to take a breather but Nevarro is having none of it.
Nevarro tries to roll over but Klein keeps him under control.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Klein is looking to stall here but Nevarro recovers full guard.
Nevarro is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Nevarro is pulling down on Klein's head. It's preventing any offense from Klein, at least for the moment.
Klein has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Klein in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nevarro instigates a clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A short uppercut from Nevarro.
Nevarro will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Klein up against the cage.
Klein manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Nevarro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Nevarro rushes Klein and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Nevarro turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Nevarro manages to end up in side control.

Nevarro gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Nevarro shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nevarro showed some decent athleticism there.
Nevarro seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Klein is not content to let Nevarro control the position.
Klein manages to get to full guard.
Nevarro stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Klein thows a left - swing and a miss!

Nevarro will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nevarro pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Nevarro moves into range and clinches up with Klein.
Nevarro manages to break the clinch.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Klein, as that shot connected.
Klein shoots in for a takedown but Nevarro shows good takedown defense.
Nevarro now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Klein throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Nevarro gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nevarro turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Nevarro manages to end up in side control.
Klein explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Nevarro has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Klein gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nevarro to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Nevarro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Nevarro seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
