Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kamen Kamenov (ranked 2747 p4p, 104 weight class) and Claudio Escorre (ranked 5588 p4p, 169 weight class). Escorre has chosen Chico Science & Nação Zumbi - Da Lama Ao Caos as his entrance music. Claudio Escorre will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kamen Kamenov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Claudio Escorre!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Francis DeMontford and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamenov looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kamenov wants to work for an arm triangle but Escorre is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kamenov winds up and cracks Escorre with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Kamenov is working Escorre over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Despite the aggression on Escorre's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Kamenov has Escorre pressed against the cage, preventing Escorre from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Kamenov jumps guard but Escorre turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

and Escorre counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Kamenov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Escorre as he jumps to the side.
Escorre is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kamenov with a body shot.

Escorre let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Kamenov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Escorre can do to turn this around?
Escorre looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Escorre fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kamenov manages to avoid it.

and Escorre counters with a three punch combo that has Kamenov backing up. Kamenov nods at Escorre to acknowledge the strikes.
Kamenov tries to clinch but Escorre moves out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kamenov smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Kamen Kamenov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Claudio Escorre showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Escorre ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kamenov moves away.
Kamenov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Well, if Kamenov is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Escorre displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kamenov throws out the jab.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

As Kamenov backs off Escorre throws a huge counter combo but Kamenov manages to avoid it all.
Kamenov shoots for a double leg takedown but Escorre sprawls well. He's pushed Kamenov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

I would just about give that final round to Claudio Escorre.
I think Escorre has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
