Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lima looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Baruti tries to bum rush Lima with a series of wild strikes but Lima uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
An inside leg kick lands from Baruti.
Baruti takes a swing at Lima's ribcage but misses.
Lima circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lima has closed the distance and engaged Baruti in a clinch.

Lima jumps guard but Baruti turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

As Baruti tries to get set, Lima tries to push him back and clinch up but Baruti manages to avoid the attempt.
Baruti turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

and Baruti counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Baruti tries to keep at a distance but Lima has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

I was talking to Lima's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Baruti throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Limas head.
Baruti is pressed up against the cage. Lima has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Baruti down to the mat. Baruti avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Lima gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Baruti counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Baruti cracks Lima with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Baruti lands a big head kick that sends Lima tumbling to the mat! Baruti takes a step backwards and waves Lima back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Lima is rocked!
Baruti scoring well with a low kick there.
Oh Lima is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Baruti cracks Lima with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Lima tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Baruti pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Lima is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Skender Baruti!
Skender Baruti very nearly forgot to thank Thomspon 90% amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
