Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Raymundo Talley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rory Andler! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andler drives through and clinches with Talley against the cage.
Andler tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Talley avoids it. Andler gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Raymundo Talley has been cut. Talley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Andler smiles and moves away.
Andler drives through and clinches with Talley against the cage.
Andler slowing the pace effectively. Knees to the body from Andler.
Talley is breathing heavily. Andler breaks from the clinch.
Andler forces Talley back against the cage and clinches. Andler with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Andler tries to land a knee to the head but Talley blocks with his arms.
Andler connects with a nasty looking knee right to Talley's face.
Talley taking a breather. Andler throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Talley blocks it with crossed arms. Andler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. This has been an exciting period of action! Andler instigates a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Andler shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Talley's guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Talley manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. A left hand lands to the body for Andler.
Andler manages to break the clinch.
Andler should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Andler looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Andler. As Andler looks to move away, Talley throws a big counter combo but Andler just gets out of the way. Andler closes the distance and clinches. Andler prevents a takedown attempt there.
This has been an exciting period of action! Andler throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Andler lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Andler scores with a knee to the head.
Andler looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Andler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Andler has Talley up against the cage in a clinch.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Andler has eaten all the pies! Andler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Andler clinches up against the cage. Andler wants to stall.
Andler is pushing Talley up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Andler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andler closes the distance and clinches. Talley tries to pull guard but Andler holds him up against the cage and eventually Talley drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raymundo Talley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Andler avoiding damage.
