The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Lou da Vinci and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Von Braun scores with a body shot.
We've been informed that Von Braun has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Von Braun cracks Perez with a right hand to the side of the head.
Nice uppercut lands for Von Braun. That snapped Perez's head back.
Perez lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Perez moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Perez tries to close the distance and clinch but Von Braun swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Von Braun swings for the body but Perez moves out of range.
Barren Von Braun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Von Braun digs a good body shot into Perez's ribs.
Perez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Von Braun.
Von Braun misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Perez swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Perez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Von Braun moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Perez fails to land with a series of punches.

letting Perez counter with a right hand.

We've been hearing reports that Perez has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

and Perez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Von Braun won't be happy with that.
Perez postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Perez in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Perez wants to control but Von Braun is keeping him busy.
Von Braun really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Von Braun is trying to get back to half guard.

Perez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Von Braun is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Perez is trying to get an arm triangle but Von Braun is defending well.

Perez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Von Braun keeps working.
Perez scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Von Braun to see if he's OK.

Perez is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Von Braun looks calm but he's in trouble here. Perez gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Von Braun is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Perez lets go of the hold and Von Braun can pop his arm back in it's socket.
